TAP Austin is a player's league, run by players. Below is our commitment to giving back to the player by providing a History page of our tournaments. See each tab for a history of our prize and cash payouts to our previous tournament winners! We are the league that gives back more to the players and teams in the Austin area!! If you are from another league, check out our payouts and then ask your league operator how much they payout (The differences may surprise you!!.) Note payouts depend on the number of teams in our league. Obviously the more teams we have in the league the higher the payouts. Example if we have 100 8 Ball teams playing over a 15 week period, our total payout for one session would be $15000 (nearly $7500 for first place). Now you see the difference!! TAP Austin pays out more locally!! Another reason why TAP Austin is Austin's Premier Pool League!

Total Prizes- $300+ in Trophies, plus hold over from last tournament 8 on the Break contest ($320, reached $413) and the Jump cue ($130), $350 Custom Cue (won by Ron Souder in the buy-in Raffle), $200 in Allen Hopkins Super Billiard Expo Tshirts and 4 Nike watches donated by TAP member Cindy Servello valued over $300. Break Contest won by Thang Pham!

Total Payouts- $3200. 1st $1600, 2nd $800, 3rd $400, 4th $400
Total Prizes- TAP Austin had seperate $100 cash added by the league/plus jump break cue ($130 est value) 8 on break contest, all players in the tournament got a free shot at making the 8 on the break. No one won. So we allowed buy-ins. This contest reached over $300 and rolls to the Spring Session Titleholder on June 9th and 10th. Atex Donated the a custom cue worth over $350 won by TAP member Ron Souder. Trophies to 1st and 2nd place ($300).

 | Summer 2006 Titleholder Titleholder Winners- Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Total Payouts- $3200. 1st- $1600, 2nd $800, 3rd and 4th $400
Total Prizes- A-Tex Family Fun Center donated a Schuler custom cue worth $420, the league donated two $180 Fury jump cues, $100 Dr Popper jump cue, $220 in TAP shirts/shot glasses given away, ($130 and $90) Nike sunglasses and $130 Nike watch donated by Nike, Titleholder Cup introduced (see below).

 | Acquired the Titleholder Cup for TAP Austin 8 Ball Purpose- Award the champions each session with the everlasting perpetual ATEX TAP Austin Titleholder Cup. Champions each session proudly display this trophy in their home bars each session and have the bragging rights going into the very next session. Teams that have their name displayed on this trophy have displayed great play during the session and will always be remembered for the acheivement. |
