Fall 2006 9 Ball Scotch Doubles

Our 1st ever Scotch Doubles 9 Ball Open was a huge success. 20+ teams showed up for this event. The even marked the first time in the Austin area that players were playing a 9 Ball Scotch Doubles format. Players from the APA, BCA and TAP played against each other and together. This will definitely be not our last tournament with this format. Look for it again in the Spring Session!!


Congratulations to the team of David Escobedo and Mike Alvarez winners of the first ever TAP Christmas Classic 9 Ball Open Scotch Doubles!! They won $140.	Coming in 2nd place the team of Chris Albert and Brian Preston. They won $90.


3rd place. Jerry McKaney and Frank Molina. They won $50	4th place. Patrick Hill and Blake. They won $20.


5th place. Emily Barry-Conley. Also in the picture was our waitress, Lauren, at Fast Eddies. Not picture Michelle Abernathy who was Emily's playing partner.	6th place. Ron Souder and Marlon Hawkins.


Tied for 7th. Simon "Dagger" Park and Dae "F" Kim.	Also tied for 7th the team of Lee and Dan "The Cueman" LeTeff. Dan also provided cue's and cue repairs for the event! Thanks Dan and Lee for coming out!


The biggest winner of all, the Salvation Army of Austin and all the people they help! TAP players are the best! You raised $118 through the SD tournament and the 9 on the break tournament. Matt and Mark added $100 to bring the total to $218. This will help feed the homelss, provide shelter on those cold nights, and provide some Christmas cheer to the less fortunate in our area. Thanks to you the players! Pictured Mark putting the money in the Kettle. This stuffed it to the brim. Next year we will do it again!!
