A group of up to seven TAP Austin members are chosen to participate in a local council. They assist the local league operators by providing feedback and suggestions, make rulings,  and voting on proposals. They provide the league operators with a general feel of how well we are doing running your league.  The council meets each session to discuss league affairs, and has voting power to make updates to the local level bylaws,  adjustments to formats, and determine penalties in the event a player has violated a rule.  As league operators we have given the authority to permanently remove a player from TAP Austin membership to the Player's Council. The League Operators can suspend players at any time for violation of rules, but must call a TAP Austin Player's Council meeting within 4 weeks of the violation. The TAP Austin Player's Council will then vote on the final penalty of the player. The decision of the TAP Austin Player's Council will be final. In the event that a TAP Austin Council member decides to step down from this post, we will have a nomination meeting and vote for a replacement member.  Only a TAP Council member or League Operator can make a nomination for a member in this council.
